I would like to create a mountain.
A mountain is pale and dry. It’s not impressive. It doesn’t shine like stainless steal. A mountain is not like the glass towers of Chicago or the neon lights of New York. A mountain is not for consumption. It is not easy or sexy, yes, and it doesn’t have advertisements or paintings for cans or icons. A mountain is natural. A mountain is heavy. You cannot displace a mountain, or shake its foundations. A mountain is humble. It has the spirit of a little child and the body of a guru. You can take of one of it’s parts, you can carve and recycle its form, you can abuse its generosity, without ever reducing it or compromising its value. A mountain can sometimes be overseen, like a cloud or a shadow. But the mountain informs geography and its presence dictates the culture of its inhabitants. All the mountains that i saw were rocky and dry. I have not been an inhabitant of mountains of green. How would you expect a mountain i create would be like?
